Do you have the right marbles?

This one is funny because Snoopy is excited by the bag that Shermy has in his hands. He thinks it will be food and races off to find him only to find that the bag's contents were that of the marbled variety, and not marbled meat. Shermy's playing marbles to Snoopy's dismay, and there is no food to be found after Snoopy caught up with him.

I played marbles as a young second grader. An interesting time in my life, because my mom would take me to her school. It's the only school I can't remember the name of because I was only there one year (nor do I remember the teachers). I do remember being in Key Club whatever that was, and playing marbles on the playground. I also remember some of the long drives to Montclaire, because this was before my mom worked at Poplar. I did my best to win at marbles.I would play with a lot of marbles of different colors and there seemes to be a sorta game that is hard for me to remember, but I played a lot as a child.

Since that time, my relationship to marbles has changed. It has been years since I played Marbles, but in physical therapy, one of my exercises is to pick up marbles laid out for me on a rag, and put them in a cup with my left foot so as to improve my left ankle dexterity. I hurt my ankle missing some steps from the church stage at an ASC practice.  It has been an interesting little exercise. It's just the right level of challenging.

Lastly, j living with the Trefflich's huskies sure do bring instances where you know they are anticipating being fed by what you are carrying, or standing outside the kitchen door eagerly waiting to be let in. One of my favorite things about them besides their genuine happiness and appreciation of your existence, is the fact that they are pretty consistent about coming back when you open the lid to the container that the dog food and treats are in. They are so cute when they come to you.

Dear Sir, Dear Life,

I don't feel like I'm losing my marbles. I'm using them to play the game of life. No intended deception. I'm grateful for the plentiful amount of marbles life is giving me. Do you want to trade some marbles with me. I especially like the metallic rainbow ones, but i also like the one that look like rocks. Cats eye ones are cool but to common.

Your friend,
The Marcie in Me
