Rest and Love Radiating
10.10.1950
As someone that enjoys resting my head in the crook of Sarah's arm, I can totally understand the serene joy that Snoopy is feeling as he rests his chin on Charlie Brown's head. He is so serene in fact, that Charlie Brown getting up from seat that he is sitting on and causing Snoopy to drop, doesn't faze him in the slight. It might'nt have been a nice klunk on the ottoman that he made, but then he silently rests his body down and his face on the ottoman.
Sitting or lying down next to someone who loves you and cuddling is one of the greatest joys of the world. I am in love with the idea, especially when it means cuddling with my wife. I also remember as a kid, snuggling up next to my mom or dad, just to receive their love in that way.
Another joy in life is pillow talk. I think for me it started when my Granny was visiting and she would come to my room and tuck me in for bed, and we would chat for what seemed like a long time. Or pillow talk on campouts with one of my good friends, Cody Knudsen, and the joy of feeling secure in that friendship, being able to talk about many topics in the dead of night. But most importantly, talking with my wife and staying up just to chat about our futures together as a married couple and about the happenings of the day that we didn't alight when we first came together after being away.
Dear Sir, dear Life,
The times I am like a Snoopy resting peacefully on my owner's head can be few and far between, but when they come, they bring such joy and peace and happiness. Being next to the one that you love, where love radiates is joy.
I am happy that I am forever blessed with Sarah.
But even if you can't enjoy that sensation of love, the joy that come from falling tranquil into that peace after reading a book. Or curling up in a state of relaxation anywhere is joy.
Finding the radiating love,
The Marcie in Me
