Will You Still Love Me?
10.9.1950
There was a part of the man, Charles M. Schulz, who believed that he would never be loved. This was the beginning of his career as a comic strip artist and he had no idea where this venture would take him, or really any idea if his comics would be any popular. So even though he went through both extremes: from being poor at the beginning of his career and to being super successful with the Peanuts comic strip later on in life; he still had doubts that he could ever be loved. And suffered through that doubt for the whole of his lifetime.
The fact of the matter is: a person is worthy of love no matter how poor or how rich they are. Charles M. Schulz is worthy of that love.
My wife just told me today that she would love me no matter how rich or poor I ever became. I have had this knowledge ever since we got married almost 7 years ago. I didn't really have that with any of the other girls I had dated or had been in a relationship with. Every time I feel insecure in my relationship with Sarah and I ask her if she loves me, she assures that that she does. Even when we are at each other's throats, I know that there is love that she has for me. It might even be because she loves me that we have disagreements and discussions about our future life together. Our future is that important to us.
I have always been secure in the knowledge that I have a loving wife that wants the best for me.
Dear Sir, dear Life,
I feel sorrow for those who do not receive the love that they are warranted in this life. Every life is important; rich or poor, male or female, depressed and contented, in bond or free, black and white. Those things are little compared to the power we have as Children of God. Heirs with him.
God doesn't care about those things. He just cares that we make good and moral choices in our life. He wants us to come back to Him. He loves us no matter what mistakes we have made.
Man may be fallible in doing this, but He is perfect, and His son, our Savior, has redeemed us. Thank you, God.
With deep and affection, even real love,
The Marcie in Me
