Being Industrious

10.18.1950

I have nieces and nephews that are industrious like the Peanuts characters in this strip. I've always thought they were clever, because they do something that I don't think kids do enough this day. They set up a lemonade and cookie/treat stand in a high traffic area in their neighborhood, and they raise money by selling fresh squeezed lemonade and homemade treats.

I would love to see homemade root beer being sold by kids. Not to mention, a flower, lemonade, and bone stand. You have to admit, the bone stand is very funny as you think of dogs buying bones from another dog. However, they all look happy while doing so, and why not? They are making money that they will use to buy other things that they need and want.

Dear Sir, dear Life,

I am looking to be industrious in my everyday life. It's not as easy as it looks. The hard part is getting someone to bite in something that you are offering to them. Hopefully I can do this with greater and greater ease as time goes by.

I want to share my love of music with those that want to learn to sing and play the piano, ukulele and guitar. I also want to help others by helping them photoshop their pictures. I also want to continue doing my podcast with my brother.

All these things and more I want to do to be industrious.

Your industrious one,
The Marcie in Me
